The video pad for those that are all thumbs

Kaleidescape user interface If you are a Treo 650 or Blackberry addict, but sometimes yearn for a more immersive experience, this computer is for you. The Linux-based Pepper Pad sports built-in thumb keyboards on both sides of the screen, allowing you to hold the device easily in your hands and type at the same time. It plays stereo music and videos, and also has almost every commonly used Internet application built-in to boot, including IP telephone, instant messaging on all the major networks, email, and Firefox Web browsing. It has WiFi built into the tablet as well as a powerful infrared blaster, allowing you to substitute it for all your remote controls and then some. And if you find the thumb-based keyboard too clumsy, there are also scroll wheels, a touch-sensitive screen, and direction pads for you to choose from.

You can find out more about the Pepper Pad at www.pepper.com. The company says that the product is available through distributors Amazon.com and Best Buy.
