iPhone Buzz falls back to "just" 18,138 stories

The Fourth of July holiday took a bit of the air out of the iPhone Buzz juggernaut, with the 24-hour story count dropping more than 2,000 stories since yesterday. That's still huge nearly a week after launch; to put that in perspective, when the XBox 360 launched, Google News was reporting fewer than 7,000 stories with XBox 360 and that number dropped precipitously in the week following.
The big buzz today is who the European operators will be that get to market the iPhone to that market. Current speculation in London's Financial Times is that Telefonica's O2, France Telecom's Orange, and Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile will be the chosen operators in the UK, France, and Germany respectively. However, O2 has denied that any deal has been finalized.
Anyone doubting that the iPhone has magical capabilities should view this video courtesy of Fake Steve Jobs and real Mike Cane. I do believe that we can safely say that this is the first phone with a built-in X-ray machine. Isn't it amazing what marketing you can do with a clever movie on a cool device?
