Spiderman versus Rain Man design

One of the things we like about Gizmodo is that they get interesting people to contribute. For the last three weeks, they've had designers at frog design (they don't like capital letters for their name) writing articles for them, which are lumped under the title "frog Design mind." The latest article talks about companies that design for an emotional connection with consumers (Spiderman companies) versus those that take a more data-driven approach (Rain man companies). Which they consider more successful we leave as an exercise to the reader.
